About the Treasury Board Secretariat

TBS provides advice and makes recommendations to the Treasury Board committee of ministers on how the government spends money on programs and services, how it regulates and how it is managed. The Secretariat helps ensure tax dollars are spent wisely and effectively for Canadians.

Working at TBS offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the work of a central federal agency, and to be part of cultivating the federal public service as a model workplace. TBS provides a challenging and stimulating environment where employees have the opportunity to have a positive impact on a variety of public policy issues on a daily basis.

About the post-secondary recruitment program

The TBS Post-Secondary Recruitment Program aims to recruit leaders and exceptional communicators into entry-level analyst positions within TBS, while also building a pool of qualified candidates for future analyst positions.

Graduates hired as analysts will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a wide variety of challenging and interesting areas that have an impact on Canadians from coast to coast to coast. This could include conducting policy and program analyses, performing research, and providing advice directly to senior decision makers. Recruits will have the opportunity to be exposed to a rich variety of work experiences as they build their skills and develop their careers.
