ECON 311B, The Economic Analysis of Tort and Crime

The Economic Analysis of Tort and Crime is an introduction to the economic analysis of law and legal institutions as applied to tort and criminal law. This course focuses on the features and differences of both the Canadian and US systems and looks to apply the theoretic models explored to various policy debates related to tort and criminal law, happening currently within the justice system.

Prerequisites: 103, 104, 311A; or permission of the department (Note: ECON 311A is not required as a prerequisite for ECON 311B for this term only.)
