Evolution and ecology

I am a master’s student working under the supervision of Dr. Alison Murray. I completed my Bachelor of Arts, Major in Anthropology at Vancouver Island University with an interest in osteology, biological anthropology, evolution, and archaeology.

I was lucky enough to participate in the Scladina Cave Internship which is a paleoanthropological/archaeological excavation project in Belgium. While working there I developed an interest in the methods used in excavation of caves sites and in the curation of artifacts and fossils recovered from the site. My experience at this site along with many others was fundamental in my decision to pursue a career in the field of archeology as it demonstrated to me the importance of this research to both the local community and the archaeological field as a whole.
