Visual anthropology and materiality

Grace is an Interdisciplinary PhD Candidate in Anthropology, Pacific & Asian Studies and Art History and Visual Studies. Working under the supervision of Dr. Margot Wilson and Dr. Richard King, Grace is researching identity development in first generation Chinese Canadian women born after the repeal of the Canada Immigration Act of 1947, particularly examining the impact of Asian women in film on their self-esteem and identity development.

Grace is a registered clinical counsellor with BC Clinical Counsellors Association. Her counselling areas include identity, culture, grief and loss.

Spending time with her grand-daughter Iyla is her favourite activity when she is not writing.
