ANTH 460 makes the news: Times Colonist and The Ring

This past fall, Thom organized a series of field mapping excursions to the park reserve with his ANTH 460, fourth-year anthropology students. Coast Salish Elders and knowledge-holders shared oral histories with the students who used Google’s MyMaps, GPS and audio recorders to document culturally significant landscapes. Their experiences have been told in the Times Colonist and is one of the leading UVic Banner stories.
