The Sexualized Violence Prevention Coalition

The Sexualized Violence Prevention Coalition works collaboratively to prevent sexualized violence at the University of Victoria. It is comprised of four core departments: the Office of Student Life (OSL), Equity & Human Rights (EQHR), the University of Victoria Students’ Society (UVSS), and the Anti-Violence Project (AVP). The coalition works in partnership with Vikes Athletics & Recreation (ATRS), Residence Services (RESS), International Centre for Students (ICS), and the Student Wellness Centre (SWC).

The coalition actively works to raise awareness among the student population specifically. It provides them with information and tools to support them in preventing the occurrence of sexualized violence and to know what to do, and where to go, when it does occur.
