Dr. Shane Koscielniak joined TRIUMF in 1987 and helped design the KAON factory. Later, he worked on the design and construction of the ISAC RFQ accelerator, which was successfully commissioned in 1998. Starting in 1996 he led the Canadian effort for beam instrumentation for the CERN-LHC program, and was actively involved in beam dynamics studies. Later he was the Canadian representative on the ILC design team. Currently, he leads the design for the superconducting electron accelerator at TRIUMF.
