I have developed a strong international collaboration with colleagues in Nursing from Iceland, Australia, England and Canada in which we explore mutual interests in the social organization of knowledge and practice in Nursing and health care.

Community projects

With colleagues at BC Cancer Agency, Vancouver Island Health Authority, School of Health Information Science and the School of Social Work, I am leading a team of researchers interested in studying Interprofessional Team practice within the palliative care context. This work is being undertaken as part of a CIHR New Emerging Team (NET) grant exploring organizational enablers and constraints on effective communication in palliative care.
