Research description:

My research focuses on the mental and neural bases of working memory, executive control, and decision making. My approach is computational cognitive neuroscience. I use the converging methods of behavioral experimentation, computational modeling, and functional brain imaging.

Health related research:

In collaboration with other researchers, I sometimes apply the techniques of computational cognitive neuroscience to the study of patient populations. At various times this has included patients with schizophrenia, children diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), people with drug-use problems, and patients on the Alzheimer's disease spectrum.

Countries lived or worked in:

Software development

While software development is not a primary focus, I am often adapting and creating software tools for computational modeling of cognition and the processing and analysis of functional neuroimaging data.
