Research description:

Practice of Musical Performance
Primarily Chamber Music, with the Internationally recognized Lafayette String Quartet.
Also, concertmaster of the Galiano Ensemble of Victoria http://galiano.ca/
Recital engagements, collaborating with artists including Bruce Vogt, Eva Solar Kinderman, Marc Ryser, Arthur Rowe, Harald Krebs, Eugene Dowling, David Jaffe.

International research:

The Lafayette String Quartet, in conjunction with their colleagues Drs Harald Krebs and Daniel Biro will be presenting "The Bartok Quartets, Tradition and Legacy" as part of an international conference to be held at the University of Victoria in late Sept. 2008. As part of the conference, performers, composers, theorists and musicologists from all over the world will be coming to speak on the remarkable life of the musical pioneer, Bela Bartok.

Countries lived or worked in:

The Lafayette String quartet was formed in Detroit in 1986. They moved to the University of Victoria as Artists in Residence in 1991.

Community projects

Co-founder and teacher of the Strings Mentoring Program (MU336) with cellist, Pamela Highbaugh Aloni. Strings Mentoring enables many of UVic's fine undergraduate and graduate students to participate in the development of strings education in the public schools.
