Mapping alcohol policies in Canada

Welcome to our interactive online mapping tool designed to illustrate how well Canadian provinces and territories are doing with evidence-based policies on alcohol. The data behind these maps were collected for the Canadian Alcohol Policy Evaluation Project. Visit the CAPE site for details on the project, as well as information on our project partners, methods used to develop our scoring rubric and alcohol policy framework, and more.

If you'd like to report an update to an alcohol policy in your province or territory, or on the federal level, please submit a policy change here.

Viewing instructions: Maps are best viewed in fullscreen mode (the box button on the bottom righthand corner of the frame). Scroll through/drag the map using the pan (the four-point arrow) available via the toolbar in the top left (hover over the bottom arrow to access it).

Printing/downloading instructions: If you would like to download PDF or PowerPoint slides of the maps, first open the maps on the Tableau website using the "share" button (third button from the right in the frame) and copying and pasting the link into a new browser window. From there, use the download tools.

The mapping project has been funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada. The CAPE Project was funded by Health Canada.
