Save the Date! Asia Desk Forum

Join leading lawyers, academics, and policy makers at the Fairmont Empress Hotel for an in-depth look at recent legal developments in Asia and their relevance to the Americas. The inaugural Asia Desk Forum offers a series of workshops, panels, and lectures, and a unique opportunity to engage with those who know Asia best. 

Organized through the renowned University of Victoria’s Faculty of Law and the Centre for Asia-Pacific Initiatives (CAPI), the Asia Desk Forum will extend over four days, from 15-18 April 2015, in British Columbia’s spectacular capital district. In addition to the Asian Law Academy and Conference Program, the Asia Desk Forum will provide opportunities for professional networking, recruitment, career development. The Asian Law Academy is a two-day series of CPD Accredited workshops for lawyers with an Asian dimension to their practice seeking to learn more about current legal developments. Workshop topics include Japanese corporate law, foreign investment law in ASEAN, cross-cultural skills in legal practice, international arbitration and business in India.
