Finding housing in Greater Victoria

Will you be living off-campus this year? This session will provide you with an overview of searching for off-campus housing in Victoria, tips and tricks to renting and key considerations. We will be covering the following topics: housing search sites, potential scams, housing considerations, transportation, tenancy agreements, living with roommates and where to find support and information. This session will be most beneficial to those who have not lived in Victoria, or if this is your first time renting.

Introduction to student health and wellness

In this webinar, we will discuss student health and wellness on-campus. We will be taking a look at many different on-campus resources such as the Student Wellness Center, Vikes Athletics and Recreation and the Center for Accessible Learning, amongst others. We will be exploring different dimensions of health and wellness, while providing tips and tricks to stay healthy and well these upcoming semesters.

Naloxone training

In this 1.5 hour training session, you will learn about harm reduction, how to recognize signs of an overdose, as well as how and when to administer Naloxone. We will review the contents of the Naloxone Kit, including step by step visual training. Following this training session, you will have the opportunity for a question and answer period with the nurses.
