International quest to spread inclusion
The Ring
In the basement of the library, in a quiet area behind compact shelving, there’s a spot where students meet to secretly eat and talk. When Maram Alraygi discovered it, it became her favourite place to pray, providing a little spiritual break, she says in the midst of a full day of studying. And she liked sharing the hidden space with others. “I experienced the most blessed time there,” says the Master’s of Education grad.

Centre for Outreach Education
The Ring
While most of us were snuggled up opening gifts in front of the fire this holiday season, the Faculty of Education was the lucky recipient of perhaps one of the greatest gifts of all: the opportunity to give back to the community. With a generous bequest from an anonymous donor, the faculty will launch the Centre for Outreach Education (CORE) on Wednesday, Jan. 19, in its new home in the MacLaurin building.
