Winter weather conditions at UVic
Cold temperatures and winter weather are making some areas of the UVic campus slippery. Environment Canada has advised that more flurries are expected in the Victoria area overnight.
Be safe! Please plan ahead, allow extra time and take care in your travels, wear appropriate clothing and footwear, and be prepared for wintery conditions. When you’re on campus, slow down and watch for icy roads or pathways.
We recognize that weather may delay or prevent you from getting to campus. Please contact your instructor or supervisor if you do not have a safe travel option and are unable to get to campus.
We work hard to keep campus open, even in adverse conditions. When inclement weather is in the forecast, UVic’s grounds crew, custodial staff and security staff arrive to campus very early to assess and address any impacts. If adverse weather conditions occur overnight, expect an update at uvic.ca after 6:30 a.m.
