As part of their mandate, JSA also reaches out to a wide variety of organizations on campus, partnering with faculty, staff and other student clubs, and the greater Jewish community. In addition, the club serves as a forum for diverse perspectives on Israeli affairs, as well as a place to celebrate all that Israel gives to the world. Members reflect on a wide spectrum of opinions, encourage open conversation with a respectful setting and transcend political differences.

There is a yearly membership fee of $4, which gives members discounted rates on events, such as weekly Tuesday Hot Lunches and monthly Friday Shabbat Dinners. Though food is central to many programs at the house, the majority of events are free.

The Hillel House is run under the hospices of Hillel BC, a non-profit organization that promotes Jewish life on campus and beyond, providing a warm welcoming environment for Jewish and non-Jewish students, as well as non-students, between the ages of 18-30.
