As a Subject Librarian, I work with faculty and students studying Physics & Astronomy, Chemistry, Biology & Forest Biology, and, Earth & Ocean Sciences.

Subject specific Library Guides direct students and researchers to print/online books and journal articles, and other Library services, to support their research and coursework: Astronomy Subject Guide, Chemistry Subject Guide, Physics Subject Guide, Biology Subject Guide, Forest Biology Subject Guide, Earth Sciences Subject Guide, Ocean Sciences Subject Guide.

Subject specific Library Workshops are developed in consultation with Faculty and tailored to support classroom assignments and learning. Students and researchers are invited to arrange in-office Reference Consultations to learn more about Libraries print/online journal and book collections specific to their research and learning.

As Data Services Librarian (Sciences & Related Subjects), I work with UVic researchers and students interested in accessing (& potentially archiving) scientific research data. A Library Guide for Scientific Research Data is currently under development. I can also help science students and faculty access the UVic Libraries Statistics Canada numeric and geospatial data collections and related statistical resources via the Libraries Data Acquistion Service web page or via the Data Subject Guide.

As the Research & Development Librarian, I work towards implementing and enhancing Library specific software applications to support the libraries mission to provide effective and efficient access to online/print resources in support of research, teaching and learning.
