Victoria to Vimy Launch and WWI Collections Open House

This special event coincides with the 100th anniversary of the Battle for Vimy Ridge, which was fought by Canadian troops in France from April 9 to 12, 1917, and is regarded as a significant event in the formation of Canadian national identity.

Select material from the online exhibit, which includes letters, diaries, postcards, individual photographs, photo albums, scrapbooks, war records, audio-oral histories and artifacts, will be available for public viewing during the event, which will also include readings from the archives. A reception will follow and everyone is welcome.
