Copyright 101: Tools and Tips for ensuring that your course is copyright compliant

This session is open to faculty, instructors, T.A.s, staff and administrators - anyone involved with course materials, coursepacks and manuals, CourseSpaces sites, etc.

Planning an upcoming course? This session will provide participants with practical solutions for delivering course materials in class and online via CourseSpaces, etc. while adhering to copyright guidelines and legislative requirements. A brief overview of the current copyright landscape will include a discussion of Canadian copyright law and library license agreements. Topics for discussion include video in the classroom, coursepacks, course reserves, and CourseSpaces guidelines, student work, public domain works, images, internet and openly accessible resources. Please bring your questions!
