Term sessional lecturer scholarship fund applications

This is a fund to support the professional development of Term Sessional Lecturers at UVic. Funds are available on a first-come first-reviewed basis. Funds will be allocated as resources permit from the start of each fiscal year (April 1st). Funds for this fiscal year (2017-2018) have been fully allocated to qualified applicants. At this time, we are not accepting further applications. The next fiscal year will commence on April 1, 2018. The date for submission of applications for the next fiscal year of funding has yet to be determined. Check back to this website for further information in March 2018.

The Divison of Learning and Teaching Support and Innovation (LTSI) encourages proposals from those who directly support student learning and the student experience at UVic, including research-stream and teaching-stream faculty, sessional lecturers, laboratory instructors, teaching assistants, and professional staff of the university. We particularly encourage proposals from early-career professionals or those new to UVic.

Learning and Teaching Development Grant deadline

The LTSI encourages proposals from those who directly support student learning and the student experience at UVic, including regular faculty, sessional lecturers, teaching assistants, librarians, laboratory instructors, academic program directors, instructional designers and student services professionals. The LTSI encourages proposals from early-career academic professionals or those new to UVic. Deadline is April 15th each year.

Teaching-stream faculty scholarship fund deadline

This fund provides financial support to teaching-stream faculty who seek to participate in a range of professional development activities related to the scholarship of teaching and learning including, but not limited to, attending academic conferences, engaging in research, and making scholarly presentations. Submission deadlines are March 31st and September 30th each year. Funding is for professional development activities occurring within the 6 months before or the 12 months after the application deadline.
