I was born in Victoria, BC and lived here for the first 23 years of my life. I lived in Burns Lake, BC, for 13 years where I raised three children and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor life. Cross country skiing was my passion in those years where I won several races and enjoyed the peaceful life of the back country. Snowboarding was also a favourite of mine. My children and I really enjoyed ourselves outside in the snow whether it was skiing, snowboarding, ice-skating on the lake or building a snowman in the backyard. I worked in the primary/elementary and secondary school system in various jobs from substitute teaching to TA assisting, but my favourite was working in the office doing the clerical work I love. I moved back to Victoria in 2004 and started working at UVic with Secretarial Services who sent me to several different departments across campus: Law, Research Services, Social Work and the Learning and Teaching Centre (LTC), to name a few. In 2006, I became a permanent employee of the LTC and have been here for over ten years and enjoy it very much.
