Social justice studies

We live in worlds surrounded by endless challenges, challenges to our environment, our health, our livelihoods, our sustenance, our ability to live in peace in our homelands wherever that may be, our rights, our humanity. How do we begin to address those challenges in socially just ways?

The Faculties of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Human and Social Development jointly offer a minor and general program in Social Justice Studies intended to provide students with an understanding of the theories and practices of social justice from a wide range of different disciplines and through engagement with activism and activists in the community. This program is also offered through Continuing Studies as a diploma.
