Our students

Our students earn many prestigious awards—for example, Rebeccah Nelems (Sociology & CSPT graduate student) was awarded one of 16 national 2015 Trudeau scholarship awards in the amount of $180,000.00.

Our students often go onto academic careers:

Liam Mitchell (CSPT graduate, 2013) is now an Assistant Professor of Cultural Studies and the Coordinator of the Media Studies Program in the Department of Cultural Studies at Trent University.

Or post doctorate programs:

Christopher Parsons (CSPT graduate, 2013) is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Citizen Lab in the Munk School of Global Affairs at the University of Toronto, where he researches the ways in which privacy is affected by digitally mediated surveillance and the normative implications that such surveillance has in (and on) contemporary Western political systems.
