ATWP 135 - Academic Reading and Writing

This is not a literature course. Instead, it has been designed to support students working toward degrees in programs all across the university. It builds on your high-school skills in writing, reading, and research, helping you to achieve the skills you will need for success in upper-level courses at university. You will read texts by authors from a range of disciplines, working with the conventions of different scholarly fields. You will also practice different types of academic writing, including writing a research paper, in order to prepare to tackle writing in future courses.

This course satisfies the Academic Writing Requirement.
