Support the Faculty of Humanities

Gifts from alumni and friends of the Faculty of Humanities help us continue to grow and succeed.

With your support, we are building on the enduring strengths of a liberal arts education while addressing the needs of the 21st century. Your philanthropic support empowers our students to pursue their passions and enables our academics to create more opportunities for interdisciplinary studies to prepare engaged citizens for a global society.

Giving opportunities

Medieval Studies Faculty and Students

We welcome and appreciate gifts of all sizes—the collective support of our many generous friends provides the margin of excellence that will distinguish our teaching and research.

And because every gift—regardless of its size or type—supports our mission of educating the next generation, you are investing in the future. For that, we are very grateful.

Double your impact

Medieval Students

If you create a new endowment in any Humanities discipline for an undergraduate scholarship, bursary or award (such as a study abroad prize), your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar by an anonymous UVic donor—someone who believes in the value of a liberal arts education as much as you do.  These matching funds will double the principal of the endowment and, in turn, double the size of the annual support a student would receive.  Contact us to learn more about this unique and time-limited opportunity.
