ATWP Celebrates SSHRC Grant Awarded to Dr. Sara Humphrey

The Academic and Technical Writing Program is delighted to congratulate Dr. Sara Humphreys on her award of a SSHRC Connection Grant for the project "Rhetoric, Writing, and Discourse Today." The project has been awarded $22,000 in funding for the 2026–2027 period.

Dr. Humphreys's grant will support the first joint conference of the Canadian Society for the Study of Rhetoric (CSSR) and the Canadian Association for the Study of Discourse and Writing/Association Canadienne de Rédactologie (CASDW/ACR), which will be held at the University of Waterloo from May 27th to May 29th, 2026. This conference will bring together scholars, students, and educators to explore current issues in rhetoric, writing, and discourse studies.
