STEAM- August 9-13 | Ages 6-12| Offered in French only | $280

Join us for a week of exploring the science, technology, engineering, arts and math programs offered at the University of Victoria, made extra fun! This week will be full of cool science experiments, art projects and engineering challenges to help expand our French vocabulary. Activities may include a trip to UVic’s observatory (one of the largest optical telescopes on any Canadian university campus!)

We have designed the camps with two streams in mind: one for 6-9 year-olds, and another for 9-12 year-olds. Sometimes campers will participate in activities all together, and other times they will be divided up to pursue developmentally-appropriate activities. If you have concerns about your child’s level of participation, please do not hesitate to contact us at

Your child(ren) will be supervised by a team of leaders experienced in organizing activities for children. Staff is chosen with the utmost care in terms of:

  • Qualifications – educators have expertise in the relevant subject areas
  • experience with children
  • reference checks
  • criminal record check
  • first-aid certification

The maximum leader/child ratio will be 1 to 7; most often it is 1 to 5.

Behaviour: Educators use a variety of strategies to implement the standards policy: setting limits; using natural and logical consequences; offering appropriate choices; using positive reinforcement; encouraging effective problem solving. As attendees and educators are expected to live and act in a spirit of mutual respect at all times, children who repeatedly engage in disruptive behaviour and ignore warnings shall be asked to leave the program.
