The overall goal of the NSS is to promote the professional development of nurses during their student career to plant the seed for future professional development through the following activities:

  • Grad event planning
  • Social event planning
  • Fundraising
  • Monthly general meetings
  • Professional activities
  • Networking with multiple societies and nursing administrator

Who we are

The Nursing Student Society (NSS) is a society run by UVic Nursing students created to cater to nursing students! Our aim is to maximize your student nursing experience here on campus. The NSS is committed to engaging nursing students in grad planning, fun events, fundraisers, and leadership opportunities!

Welcome UVic Nursing Class of 2018! Congratulations on making it to the last stage of your journey, the end is finally in sight. The NSS relies on the spirit, excitement, and commitment of motivated nursing students with a common goal to create a strong, fun, collaborative nursing student community. Please don't hesitate to contact the NSS if there is anything we can do to smooth your transition. We work collaboratively with the Mentorship Program and need your help (Class of 2019) to keep it going! We hope to do our best to advocate for all nursing students, ensuring that every students’ voice is heard while having fun along the way!
