School of nursing hosts Judy Darcy, Canada's first Minister of Mental Health and Addictions

Judy Darcy, B.C. Minister of Mental Health and Addictions, joined student nurses and faculty with UVic’s School of Nursing to share an announcement on campus April 4, 2018 to advance the scope of practice for all Nurse Practitioners in the province to prescribe therapies for those with opioid addiction.

With this trailblazing musical, writer-director-star John Cameron Mitchell andcomposer-lyricist Stephen Trask brought their signature creation from stage to screen. Raised a boy in East Berlin, Hedwig (Mitchell) undergoes a traumatic personal transformation in order toemigrate to the U.S., where she reinvents herself as an "internationally ignored" but divinely talented rock diva, inhabiting a "beautiful gender of one."
