HINF Co-op Student of the Year

Nadia Ghali, a fourth-year Health Information Science student at the University of Victoria has been chosen as the HINF 2019/20 Co-op Student of the Year.

Throughout her degree, Nadia has developed a wide range of different skill sets such as leadership, where she was elected as President of the student council which holds the responsibility of organizing and running student events throughout the school year. Nadia also serves on the Dean Search Committee for the Human and Social Develop Department at UVIC. Nadia has also worked at two major health authorities in Vancouver during her two co-op work terms. First, at Fraser Health Authority, where she supported the implementation process of the Unifying Clinical Information Network and following that, Nadia supported the Clinical Systems and Transformation Project, working on the Oncology Team with the implementation of the Cerner Software in BC Cancer Sites.

Nadia looks forward to applying her skills and knowledge gained from the program to a career in Health Informatics as she graduates in the near future.
