Course description

To provide you with an overview of the University’s performance development process and give you the tools to effectively use it.

This session is geared toward helping you answer the questions: what is my role, what are my major responsibilities, what are my goals and how will I know I am effectively reaching my goals?

This information will then be used to fill out the UVic Performance Planning & Review forms and prepare you for the conversation with your manager/supervisor.

What you can hope to achieve today as a result of participating in this workshop is:

  • Increased understanding of and comfort using UVic’s Performance Development Process
  • Clarity about your role & major responsibilities
  • Established links between your role and the overall strategic direction of the University/your Department
  • Progress and practice in filling out the Performance Planning & Review Forms
  • Feeling prepared to have the conversation with your Manager/Supervisor
