Course description

This seminar is based on the principles of the best selling business book "Now, Discover Your Strengths", by Marcus Buckingham and Donald Clifton. The "Strengths Finder" approach (created by the Gallup Organization) promotes building a new, strengths-based image of yourself as the best way to maximize your potential. This is because your talents are unique and enduring and offer the greatest room for growth. Recognizing and utilizing your strengths will assist you in shifting your focus away from fault fixing and weakness toward recognizing and building capacity in yourself and others.

This workshop also links Gallup's tools and the 34 themes of human strength with UVic's core competencies for easy incorporation into everyone's employee performance and planning review processes.

Pre-requisite: Participants in this course will need to complete a pre-assessment from “Now, Discover your Strengths” textbook, to be completed 2 weeks prior to the course date.
