Don Piao joined the Gustavson School of Business in 2018. As Research Manager, Don conceptualizes, plans and manages Gustavson research activities, supports Gustavson faculty on grant efforts and works with multiple stakeholders to maintain and enhance Gustavson research excellence, community engagement and impact. 

Don enjoys building inclusive teams to help solve problems, and believes in the value of lifelong learning and growth.

In his research career in life sciences and material sciences, Don designed and developed proprietary fluorescent material for ultra-sensitive explosives detection, early detection of amyloid aggregates in Alzheimer’s disease (AD), and molecular free-volume polymers as next-generation low-k dielectric materials.
