Team Gustavson wins big at MBA Games 2017


Peter B. Gustavson School of Business MBA students rang in 2017 with another display of case competition prowess, taking first place in finance and second in the strategy cases to bring home the Schulich Cup for overall academic performance from the MBA Games 2017. 

Held from Jan. 2 to 4, 2017 at Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo, this year marked the first time the MBA Games had been hosted in BC. The games features academic, athletics and spirit competitions. In addition to the academic awards, the Gustavson team also placed second in the athletics competition in basketball. Approximately 500 students participated in the MBA Games.

Participating, and winning, students included: Amir Khan, Sara Boehringer, Blake Mansbridge, Sam Shurry, Sarah Tradewell, Amit Charausia, Pawan Gawande, Harpreet Parhar, Avinav Kapur, Sohan Mahe Alam, Nikheel Premsagar, Bhupinder Dulku, Uma Sundari, Hazen Fowler, Karan Veer Angrish, and Gozde Ozbilim.
