Gustavson MBA Students Earn Glory at a Prestigious Case Competition

Our MBAs have what it takes to be great business leaders: Sardul S. Gill Graduate School MBA students Sunjit Mark, Marcus Greenshields, Tammy Pham and Ivan Petrovic have placed second in the East Meets West Leadership Case Competition this past weekend.

One of nine competing teams, the foursome was tasked with solving a real-life case in which they had to balance the fiscal demands of business with environment, social, and economic demands of good leadership. The team was challenged to think about leadership from various angles, and how it can be used to further business goals.

The weekend was also an opportunity for them to network with top-tier MBA students, meet industry representatives, and learn about different industries across Canada.

Hosted by the Haskayne School of Business, the competition is a joint venture between Haskayne’s Canadian Centre for Advanced Leadership in Business and Ivey Business School’s Ian O. Ihnatowycz Institute for Leadership. The schools represented at the 2016 competition included DeGroote School of Business, Ryerson University, Sobey School of Business, Beedie School of Business, Alberta School of Business, Alberta School of Business, Haskayne School of Business, Asper School of Business, and Ivey School of Business.
