New programs

Review/Approval Process

The Office of the Vice-President Academic provides guidelines and templates to support the development of new graduate programs, new streams within existing graduate programs and new graduate certificates as well as significant modifications to existing graduate offerings. 

Individual academic units are responsible for completing the relevant templates.  Although requests for new programs, streams and certificates can be submitted at any time, the approval process can take many months.  Academic units are encouraged to consult the Faculty of Graduate Studies regarding approval timelines well in advance of beginning the required documentation.
