Students applying to the Commerce undergraduate program offered by the Peter B. Gustavson School of Business must meet the following admission requirements.

Grade 11 courses Grade 12 courses
Approved English 11 English Studies 12 or English First Peoples 12 with at least 67%
Pre‑calculus 11 Pre‑calculus 12 with at least 67%
Approved science 11 Two approved academic 12 courses
Approved social studies 11/12

Provincial examinations: Students must write provincial examinations in any subjects where it is mandatory in order to meet BC Graduation Program requirements.

Admission averages are calculated using all required Grade 12 courses for entry to a program.

Actual required admission averages and grades in individual courses change on an annual basis.

English language proficiency

All University of Victoria applicants are required to demonstrate competence in the English language. Applications cannot be fully evaluated until proof of language proficiency is confirmed.

Transfer credit

Transfer credit may be awarded to students who have completed Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate or post-secondary courses during the course of your high school studies.
