Kerem works as a professional set, costume and lighting designer for theatre, opera and modern dance both in Canada and his home country Turkey. For his design work, Kerem received several awards including a Betty Mitchell Award (Calgary), Victoria Critics Choice Award (Victoria) and prestigious Afife Theatre Award (Istanbul) and his work on "A Midsummer Night's Dream" was chosen to be a part of the lighting design exhibit in World Stage Design 2005 by an international jury. Kerem worked with several companies across Canada including Theatre Calgary, ATP, Citadel Theatre, Ghost River Theatre, Catalyst Theatre, Belfry Theatre and Blue Bridge Repertory Theatre. Kerem is a member of the Associated Designers of Canada and he has taught set & lighting design in several universities both in Canada and Turkey.
