Working with students & teachers

We are proud to have Lindsay Delaronde as our dedicated Indigenous Resurgence Coordinator to work with our students and faculty. An Iroquois Mohawk woman born and raised on the Kahnawake reservation outside of Montreal, Lindsay is a Visual Arts MFA alumna and also holds a Master’s degree in Indigenous Communities Counselling from UVic. She was selected as the City of Victoria’s inaugural Indigenous Artist in Residence, and sees both her art and counseling practice as intertwined.

Lindsay holds space at a monthly Circle Work session, which allows Indigenous Fine Arts students to reflect, ground and share stories together. Circle Work runs 10:30 a.m. to noon on the last Thursday monthly in the Celebration Room of UVic’s nearby Interfaith Chapel. Lindsay can be reached at .
