National Centre for Indigenous Laws, Expansion of the Fraser Building

Bartlett Tree Experts will be using specialized equipment to selectively harvest eight (8) Douglas fir trees from the future footprint of the National Centre for Indigenous Laws. These trees occur with in the footprint of the future NCIL expansion, which will begin construction later this year. The logs will be taken off-site to be dried and prepared for use as structural columns in the future building.
The timing of this work is being driven by our coordination with a local biologist to minimize wildlife impacts associated with the removal of these trees. This will be a very precise removal of trees. All adjacent trees and ground plants will remain in place at this time.
