F1 Field Replacement – Mobilizing Equipment to site

F1 Field Hockey Field - Along Gabriola and access road north of the Continuing Education Building

Facilities Management and our General Contractor, Astroturf are working together to replace the Field Hockey Field turf.

Work has already begun to replace the existing field hockey turf on the F1 field, located between the Continuing Education and CARSA. Installation of the turf layer is set to begin this week. Expect to see trucks and construction crews moving equipment and materials onto the field and adjoining yard over the next couple of days. The Contractors will attempt to minimize any disruption to surrounding activities.

Please respect directions of safety officers at any time you see equipment moving to and from the site. Please use an alternate travel route when possible. It is not expected that there will be any prolonged closures of any roads at this time for this project. If there are, additional notices will be sent out.
