Bob Wright Centre – Cooling Shutdown
Bob Wright Centre (BWC)
Facilities Management (FMGT) has advised of cooling concerns for the Bob Wright Centre in a previous project notice. FMGT requires a cooling shutdown before we can install temporary cooling equipment on the roof of the BWC. This shutdown will not affect airflow and fume hoods in the building.
Due to the sensitive experiments in this building, we are completing this shutdown overnight when the outside air temperatures are the coolest and there are less occupants in the building. FMGT will be monitoring the building temperature set points and will adjust according to the priority list created with the administrative officers in the building. At a high level, the priority list includes animal care, other laboratories, rooms with deep freezers & server rooms in order of importance.
We apologize for any inconvenience.
