Conversation Cafes

Conversation Cafés are small group gatherings designed to encourage dialogue and give our campus community opportunities to share their ideas and feedback related to the Discrimination and Harassment Policy.

Host your own discussion 

Bring together a group of friends, coworkers or classmates to discuss key topics related to the Discrimination and Harassment Policy. All UVic community members are invited to participate (e.g., staff, faculty, students, etc.). These discussions can be as structured or open as you want, here are 3 resources to support your Conversation Cafés:

• Read through the Conversation Café Guide for discussion topics and for tips on how to run your own Conversation Café
• Review the Conversation Café Guidelines for Respectful Dialogue before you dive into your discussion
• Share the Support Resources with all participants

Be sure to take notes during your Conversation Café and send them to policyreview@uvic.ca by October 15th to be considered in the policy review.
