The following list includes clubs, teams and groups that are managed and operated primarily by students enrolled in UVic Engineering and Computer Science.

AUVic
We are the Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Interdisciplinary Club from UVic and we build AUVs to compete in Robonation’s International Robosub competition.
UVic AERO
We are a group of 45+ students interested in Aeronautical Engineering & Research Organization who design, build and test Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).
UVic Biomedical Design Team (BMED)
A dedicated group of students at UVic who design, make and test medical devices and assistive biomedical technologies.
UVic Computer Science Course Union (CSCU)
We serve undergrads in Computer Science and Software Engineering by hosting events, expressing a consensus of student opinion to faculty, and providing individual support to students.
UVic Concrete Canoe
We are a civil-engineering based student design team. We collaboratively design, construct, and paddle a concrete canoe for the Canadian National Concrete Canoe Competition (CNCCC).
UVic Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE)
The national Canadian Society for Civil Engineering maintains the profession’s high standards of practice and enhances its public image. UVic CSCE is one of the group’s many student chapters.
UVic Electrical Vehicle Club

UVic Engineering Students' Society
We focus on improving the lives of engineering students at UVic, providing many events and services to these students and the wider community. Our activities include assisting the Iron Ring Society, organizing engineering competitions and hold charity events.
UVic Formula Hybrid
We are a group of passionate undergraduate, masters and PhD students who annually design, build, and innovate a hybrid vehicle for competition.
UVic Formula Racing
We design and build a small, open-wheeled, formula-style racing car each year for competition in Formula SAE, the world's largest collegiate design competition.
UVic GameDev
This club is focused on making games, whether professionally or for fun, solo or in teams. Game developers of all disciplines and skill levels are encouraged to check us out.
UVic Leadership Through Diversity
LTD avocates for underrepresented groups in engineering, such as women, members of the LGBTQ+ community, Black, Indigenous and other People of Colour. We achieve this through education, outreach, community-building events, fundraising and mentorship.
UVic Robotics Club
We design, build and program all things robotic. Our club’s current goal is to build a rover to compete in the 2021 Canadian International Rover Challenge (CIRC). We welcome all those interested, whatever the current skill set.
UVic Rocketry Team
Our team designs, builds and launches high-powered-sounding rockets with innovative payloads for competition each year.
UVic Satellite Design Team
For the past three years, our group has competed in the Canadian Satellite Design Challenge hosted by Geocentrix Technologies. The CSDC involves 12 universities across Canada in an effort to develop the experience and infrastructure for small satellite design.
UVic Seismic Design Team
Our aim is to attend the annual EERI Seismic Design Competition, to engage students in earthquake engineering, provide context to earthquake engineering research and education, and to provide students with networking opportunities. 
UVic Submarine Racing Club
Our goal is to design, build and race a human-powered submarine at an annual International Submarine Race. Our team also believes in the importance of networking between sponsors, employers and club members for future career opportunities. To achieve this, we strive to develop students’ research, technical and manufacturing skills.
UVic Virtual and Augmented Reality Club
As UVic’s student-led virtual and augmented reality club, we aim to help students learn to build quality VR tools, experiences and games.
UVic Women in Engineering and Computer Science (WECS)
WECS is a student-run group committed to supporting women in Engineering and Computer Science at UVic. Everybody is welcome to attend our meetings.
Vike Labs
VikeLabs is a collective of students who learn to build, deploy and test software quickly. We view UVic as a kind of laboratory for testing solutions to problems that exist within the UVic community.
