What would you like others to know about you?
Avid about the outdoors, I enjoy spending my free time mountain biking, skiing, or surfing. Also passionate about sports and exercise, I’ve played on the UVic rugby, lacrosse and ultimate teams. In the summers, I work as an Initial Attack Crew Leader with the B.C Wildfire Service, which inspired the focus of my graduate studies focus.
What have you done so far, or what do you hope to accomplish during your graduate degree at UVic?
During my undergrad, I completed an honours project on the counteracting effects of sleep deprivation and acute exercise on cognitive performance. Now, interested in other environmental influences on cognition, I’m excited to focus my graduate studies research on the topic of fatigue in wildland firefighting.
