What would you like others to know about you?

I’m a writer and game designer bringing my expertise in that field to the study of human change processes. Having developed and run interactive experiences and tabletop games around the world over the past five years, I’m fascinated with play as a site of healing, growth, relationship building, and change. As a counsellor in training I’m always looking for the ways in which people are creating change in their own lives, to inform the change processes that I can collaboratively engage in with my clients.

What have you done so far, or what do you hope to accomplish during your graduate degree at UVic?

My hope as a researcher is to bring game-making into the academic knowledge base around expressive arts therapy, and to develop a counselling practice that incorporates creativity and play.
