What would you like others to know about you?

Originally from Halifax, NS, I moved to Victoria to play on Canada’s Rugby 7s team. In 2018, I graduated from Acadia University with a BScH in Biology and Chemistry where I completed my thesis on preventing cardiotoxicity from chemotherapy in a zebrafish model. This fall, I began my MSc in Kinesiology with Dr. Lynneth Stuart-Hill and Dr. Viviene Temple where we’re looking at whether adults with intellectual disability in Victoria are adhering to the Canadian 24-Hour Movement Guidelines. Outside of rugby and school, I enjoy going for hikes, cycling, and finding Victoria’s best coffee shops. What have you done so far, or what do you hope to accomplish during your graduate degree at UVic?

What have you done so far, or what do you hope to accomplish during your graduate degree at UVic?

Despite the virtual nature of university, connecting with fellow classmates has been incredibly rewarding as I’ve gotten to meet some intelligent and like-minded individuals. During my studies at UVic, I hope to enjoy the process of learning again and explore campus for its incredible green space and hidden gems!
