What would you like others to know about you?

Originally from Vancouver, I completed my BA in Psychology with a minor in Social Justice at UVic before moving onto an MA in Counselling Psychology. My thesis research looks at the effects of digital technology on youth mental health, exploring the relationship between screen-time and child and adolescent well-being. I am passionate about finding the best ways to support young people struggling with mental health in this digital age – as we begin to piece together the impact of screens and tech on human relationships and mental health. When I’m not at school or with clients, you can find me surfing, hiking, and sipping many a cup of tea.

What have you done so far, or what do you hope to accomplish during your graduate degree at UVic?

In addition to research and coursework, I have completed clinical pracitca with both Child and Youth Mental Health at the Ministry of Child and Family Development and Family Services of Greater Victoria. With a deep understanding and appreciation for the unique obstacles youth face today, I am passionate about supporting young people through both research and clinical practice. I hope to continue striking this balance as I dive into my research and wrap up my MA.
