Our Faculty and Staff “Pennies Per Paycheque” campaign has been a huge success. The pledge cards are in and the donations have been tallied and... drum roll please... the Faculty of Education has raised $8775.61 for the first Faculty of Education Student Hardship Fund. The first year of this multi-year fund will raise $2658.10 and be ready for disbursement by April 2018. This student hardship fund was created by faculty and staff in Education for the students in Education. This fund will be administered by Student Awards and Financial Aid starting next year and will provide quick access emergency funds of up to $250 per student. Thanks to the commitment of the faculty and staff in Education to this campaign, in a year, a minimum of eight students will have access to financial support when they need it most.
