Upcoming Masters of Education programs starting in 2022

The Department of Curriculum and Instruction is now accepting applications of interest for three Masters of Education programs starting in 2022: Art Education cohort, Early childhood Education cohort, and Language and literacy cohort.

M.Ed. in Art Education Cohort
This M.Ed. is a studio intensive, two-year program. Students spend two summers engaged in personal studio development while working in group studios. Individual critical and creative explorations carry into the fall and spring semesters, off-campus. Applicants must have considerable strength in art education and present a portfolio of personal art work.

M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education Cohort
This M.Ed. cohort is designed to bring experienced educators together for a two-year cross-disciplinary graduate program. The courses will focus on current issues and trends in early childhood education and will address a range of theories that guide early childhood studies.

M.Ed. in Language and Literacy Cohort
This program offers a unique mix of on-campus and online coursework affording opportunities for critical engagement in topics of relevance to today’s educators. Designed for classroom teachers and educators involved in Language and Literacies, this 15.0 unit Master of Education program will enrich educators’ practices and encourage the development of professional leaders within the diverse area of Language and Literacies education.
